1. An apparatus, comprising:
a transceiver configured to communicate wirelessly; and
a processor coupled to the transceiver and configured to perform operations comprising:
processing a stream of bits to provide processed bits; and
transmitting, via the transceiver, the processed bits to a station (STA) over a combination of multiple resource units (RUs) assigned to the STA,
wherein, in processing the stream of bits, the processor is configured to perform operations comprising:
parsing the stream of bits to the combination of multiple RUs comprising at least one smaller RU of 242 or 484 tones and at least one larger RU of 996 tones; and
in an event of leftover bits remaining from the parsing, a proportional round-robin parser distributing the leftover bits to one or more RUs but not all RUs of the combination of multiple RUs such that the leftover bits are distributed to the at least one larger RU but not the at least one smaller RU,
wherein the combination of multiple RUs comprises a first combination, a second combination, a third combination or a fourth combination,
wherein the first combination comprises one smaller RU of 484 tones and two larger RUs of 996 tones,
wherein the second combination comprises one smaller RU of 484 tones and three larger RUs of 996 tones,
wherein the third combination comprises one aggregated RU and one larger RU of 996 tones with the aggregated RU comprising one smaller RU of 242 tones and one smaller RU of 484 tones, and
wherein the fourth combination comprises one smaller RU of 242 tones and one larger RU of 996 tones.
