1. A junction box, comprising:
a housing unit comprising an internal housing area further having a bottom surface, the housing unit mountable to a roof surface via a flashing having a continuous, raised waterproofing track that mates with a waterproofing recess in the bottom surface to create a waterproofing zone inside the housing unit;
wherein at least one bottom pass through is located within the waterproofing zone and provides a channel from the internal housing area through the roof surface.
 
11. A junction box, comprising:
a housing unit further comprising an internal housing area having a bottom surface;
a bracket, the bracket comprising a double flanged retainer with a depression area for securing at least one lip fastener and at least one bracket clip; and
wherein the bracket is removably connected to the housing unit and is configured to connect the housing unit to a solar panel support rail.
 
15. A junction box, comprising:
a housing unit attached to a rail and adapted to connect with a photovoltaic panel system, the housing unit further comprising an internal housing area and at least one bottom pass through;
a hinge unit;
a bracket and a rail, the bracket comprising at least one lip fastener and at least one bracket clip;
wherein the housing unit is mountable to a roof surface via a flashing having a continuous, raised waterproofing track that mates with a waterproofing recess in a bottom surface of the housing unit to create a waterproofing zone inside the housing unit; and
wherein the at least one bottom pass through is located within the waterproofing zone and provides a channel from the internal housing area through the roof surface.
