1. A flow battery comprising:
a first half and a second half,
the first half comprising (i) a first main electrolyte source configured to contain a first electrolyte, (ii) a first electrode region configured for electronic communication with the first electrolyte, and (iii) a first dynamic fluidic network configured for fluid communication with the first main electrolyte source and comprising the first electrode region,
wherein the flow battery is configured to remove the first electrolyte from the first electrode region, while the first electrode region is in fluid isolation from the first main electrolyte source.
