1. A system associated with a payment processing service, the system comprising:
an application, executable by one or more processors of a point-of-sale (POS) device of a merchant, to
send first transaction data associated with a payment transaction between the merchant and a customer to one or more server applications; and
the one or more server applications, executable by one or more processors of one or more computing devices associated with the payment processing service, to:
receive, prior to receiving the first transaction data from the application and from a plurality of POS devices of a plurality of merchants associated with the payment processing service, second transaction data associated with a plurality of transactions,
train a predictive model using at least the second transaction data, wherein the predictive model is configured to output a level of risk of chargeback for a transaction;
receive the first transaction data from the POS device;
determine, based at least in part on application of the predictive model to the first transaction data, a level of risk of chargeback for the payment transaction;
send to the POS device, based at least in part on the level of risk for the payment transaction, an offer of insurance for the merchant, wherein the insurance insures the payment transaction against the risk of chargeback;
receive an indication that the merchant purchases the insurance for the payment transaction; and
generate, based at least in part on the indication that the merchant purchases the insurance, an updated level of risk of chargeback for the payment transaction.
