1. An implant system comprising:
a prosthetic component having a distal portion arranged to be coupled to an end of a bone and a proximal neck portion;
an articulation component arranged to couple to the proximal neck portion; and
a plurality of differently sized collars, each collar comprising a plate having a neck hole, the neck hole and the proximal neck portion being sized and adapted such that the proximal neck portion is configured to be received within the neck hole of each collar of the plurality of differently sized collars, each collar having a plurality of suture holes for coupling the plate to bone fragments or soft tissue, each collar being lockable with respect to the proximal neck portion to prevent rotation, whereby a user may select one of the collars based upon a size of the articulation component,
wherein the plate of each collar of the plurality of differently sized collars has an outer periphery formed from a first curved edge defined by a first radius and a second curved edge defined by a second radius which is larger than the first radius and wherein the first radius is the same as or smaller than a radius of the articulation component and the first curved edge transitions directly into the second curved edge,
wherein the neck hole of each collar is defined by a tapered bore and wherein the plate of each collar has a thickness and includes a raised rim extending about the respective neck hole, the rim being shaped to extend the respective tapered bore such that the respective tapered bore is deeper than the thickness of the respective plate, and
wherein, when the proximal neck portion is received within the neck hole of one of the plurality of collars and the one of the plurality of collars is locked with respect to the proximal neck portion, the proximal neck portion extends past the raised rim of the respective collar.
