1. An apparatus comprising:
at least one processor; and
at least one memory including computer program code,
the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to perform:
classifying an electrocardiogram signal as anomalous or non-anomalous;
generating an output signal based on the classified electrocardiogram signal;
controlling operation of a switch of a circuit in the apparatus using the output signal;
obtaining a measure of similarity between the electrocardiogram signal and a reference signal by comparison of the electrocardiogram signal and the reference signal, wherein the electrocardiogram signal is classified as an anomalous signal or as a non-anomalous signal based on the measure of similarity, and wherein the signal is classified as an anomalous signal if it has a lower measure of similarity and is classified as a non-anomalous signal if it has a higher measure of similarity;
controlling saving of the electrocardiogram signal with a conditional resolution in dependence upon the classification of the electrocardiogram signal as anomalous or non-anomalous;
and
saving the electrocardiogram signal at higher resolution as a higher resolution signal when the electrocardiogram signal is classified as anomalous,
wherein the controlling comprises controlling operation of the switch to direct the electrocardiogram signal to another switch of the circuit in the apparatus to be saved at the higher resolution as the higher solution signal when the output signal indicates the electrocardiogram signal is anomalous, and
wherein the controlling comprises controlling operation of the switch to direct the electrocardiogram signal to be saved at a lower resolution as a lower resolution signal or to be not saved when the output signal indicates the electrocardiogram signal is non-anomalous.
