1. A method of assembling an electrosurgical instrument, comprising:
providing a cable formed of a conductive inner portion coated with a dielectric polymer;
providing a jaw having a cable pass-through, the jaw formed of a conductive material, the cable pass-through having an edge;
extending the cable through the pass-through, and crimping the cable using compression, wherein during compression of the cable the edge of the pass-through geometry pierces the dielectric polymer coating, creating electrical contact between the conductive inner portion and the jaw while simultaneously creating a mechanical connection between the conductive inner portion of the cable and the jaw.
