1. One or more processors configured for wireless communication by performing operations comprising:
determining measurement gap (MG) patterns associated with a new radio (NR) frequency range (FR) in a long term evolution (LTE) and NR dual connectivity operation, the MG patterns corresponding to gap pattern identifiers comprising 0, 1, and 12-23 for per frequency range 2 (FR2) measurement gaps;
generating a message to indicate the one or more MG patterns via LTE radio resource control (RRC) message; and
preparing the message for transmission to an access node (AN) in the LTE and NR dual connectivity operation.
