1. A method of measuring media content consumption of a plurality of panelists within a household, the method comprising:
providing a content gateway including a plurality of content input ports, a content output port, and a router;
connecting the content gateway to a television via an electronic cable extending between the content output port and the television;
wirelessly connecting a mobile device to the content gateway via the router, the mobile device associated with one of the plurality of panelists;
identifying, at the content gateway, first media content presented on the television during a period of time;
identifying, at the content gateway, a subset of the plurality of panelists within a predefined range of the television during the period of time;
associating the subset of the plurality of panelists with the identified first media content;
identifying, at the content gateway, second media content presented on the mobile device during the period of time;
compiling data associating the subset of the plurality of panelists to the first media content and the television during the period of time, and compiling data associating the one of the plurality of panelists with the second media content and the mobile device during the period of time; and
transmitting the compiled data to a remote server.
