1. A controlled-environment facility resident communication and/or media device master control system comprising:
a controlled-environment facility vendor datacenter and/or a centralized investigative data aggregation and analysis system configured to:
provide a controlled-environment facility management portal to a controlled-environment facility administrator; and
present, in the controlled-environment facility management portal, an option to disable controlled-environment facility resident communication and/or media devices operating in a controlled-environment facility;
disable access to the controlled-environment facility resident communication and/or media devices operating in the controlled-environment facility, in response to selection of the option to disable the controlled-environment facility resident communication and/or media devices operating in the controlled-environment facility;
send a message to the controlled-environment facility resident communication and/or media devices operating in the controlled-environment facility to disable one or more application programs executed by a respective controlled-environment facility resident communication and/or media device; and
notify one or more controlled-environment facility resident communication and/or media device backend servers of restrictions to effect disabling login to the controlled-environment facility resident communication and/or media devices operating in the controlled-environment facility, in response to selection of the option to disable the controlled-environment facility resident communication and/or media devices operating in the controlled-environment facility.
