1. A method for configuring beamforming for a network device, the method comprising:
creating a map of an area in which a network device that supports beamforming is placed;
showing, on an interactive display device, the network device and receiving devices on the map consistent with where the network device and the receiving devices are located in a real-world environment that corresponds to the map;
showing, on the interactive display device, one or more beams emanating from the network device on the map; and
enabling a user to manipulate the one or more beams on the interactive display device to create a desired beamforming pattern that takes into account the map and the receiving devices located in the area, wherein at least one beam of the one or more beams is configured to be manipulated by the user dragging the at least one beam to a new location on the map.
