1. A method performed by a receiver for correlating a harmonic pattern to a received signal, comprising:
determining a plurality of nodes in a targeted area in communication with the receiver;
designing a non-overlapping fundamental frequency spectrum for each node of the plurality of nodes to communicate with the receiver;
generating a set of harmonic patterns for each node of the plurality of nodes based on the non-overlapping fundamental frequency spectrum; and
correlating the set of harmonic patterns with received signals from the plurality of nodes.
