1. An electric machine, comprising:
a stator; and
a rotor rotatably supported in the stator, the rotor comprising a plurality of rotor laminations stacked to form a rotor core with cavities having magnets arranged in the cavities, wherein each rotor lamination includes an outer edge having a plurality of arcuate grooves arranged asymmetrically about the outer edge, wherein a first portion of the plurality of rotor laminations are rotated by 180 degrees about a diametric axis of the rotor relative to a second portion of the plurality of rotor laminations.
