1. A power system comprising at least one D.C. to A.C. inverter providing A.C. output power and a load management system, the power system comprising:
a) a D.C. to A.C. type inverter responsive to D.C. power to provide A.C. power wherein at least one of the voltage or frequency of the A.C. power is controlled to take on at least a plurality of values in response to one or more operating parameters of the inverter;
b) a generator monitor circuit responsive to at least one of A.C. power output from the inverter or a communications link with the inverter to receive timely operating information of the inverter comprising when the inverter is operating in an overloaded condition or is operating in a not overloaded condition;
c) a load control circuit comprising one or more processor circuits executing computing operations or program(s), the load control circuit operating in response to the generator monitor circuit to control coupling of A.C. power demanded from the inverter by one or more of a plurality of loads to help alleviate an overload, or help prevent an overload, of the inverter;
d) a load switch circuit comprising a relay which receives the A.C. power and in response to the load control circuit controllably couples the A.C. power to a connected corresponding load by opening and closing the relay contacts.
