1. A method for calibrating a lens array, comprising:
defining a plurality of omni-symmetrical regions within each lens within the lens array;
defining a localized set of calibration parameters for each of the plurality of omni-symmetrical regions for each lens within the lens array;
determining one or more portions from one or more of the lenses in the lens array that when combined provide a higher resolution image than would be available from any single lens withing the lens array; and
combining the one or more determined portions to generate a high resolution image.
