1. An image processing method comprising the steps of:
obtaining image data for printing an image on a print medium by a first scan and a second scan; and
generating a first dot pattern for printing in the first scan and a second dot pattern for printing in the second scan, which will be printed so as to overlap the first dot pattern, by quantizing the image data based on a threshold matrix,
the first dot pattern including first lattices which are formed of dots arranged repeatedly at a first interval in a first direction and dots arranged repeatedly at a second interval in a second direction, and
the second dot pattern including second lattices which are formed of dots arranged repeatedly at a third interval in a third direction and dots arranged repeatedly at a fourth interval in a fourth direction,
wherein a combined dot pattern formed by combining the first dot pattern and the second dot pattern in a first relative position in which a center of one dot in the second dot pattern is superimposed on a center of one dot in the first dot pattern, includes:
(i) first neighboring dots in which a first dot included in the first dot pattern and a second dot included in the second dot pattern are located at a distance from each other which distance is smaller than any one of the first, second, third and fourth intervals, and
(ii) second neighboring dots in which a third dot included in the first dot pattern and a fourth dot included in the second dot pattern are located at a distance from each other which distance is smaller than any one of the first, second, third and fourth intervals,
wherein a first tilt of a straight line connecting a center of each dot in the first neighboring dots is different from a second tilt of a straight line connecting a center of each dot in the second neighboring dots.
