1. An Information Handling System (IHS), comprising:
a plurality of workspaces that are each deployed with one or more applications, wherein each of the workspaces are configured to manage the operation of their respective applications; and
at least one memory including instructions that, upon execution by at least one processor, cause the IHS to:
obtain a plurality of inventories corresponding to the plurality of workspaces, wherein the inventories each include information associated with the applications deployed in its respective workspace;
for each inventory:
identify the workspace associated with the inventory;
determine which of the applications are to be updated with new software by identifying one of the applications that has been migrated from a first workspace to a second workspace and when the migrated application is a different type relative to the application executed on the first workspace, move the application and dependency information associated with the application from the first workspace to the second workspace in the inventory; and
deploy the determined new software to the identified workspace.
