1. A system, comprising:
a plurality of different components, including a graphics processor subcomponent, wherein one or more components of the plurality of different components are operable in a plurality of active modes;
control circuitry configured to:
selectively activate or deactivate the graphics processor subcomponent based on types of executing instructions;
select an operating point from among multiple operating points, wherein:
the selection is based on both:
a combination of current active modes of two or more of the plurality of different components; and
whether the graphics processor subcomponent is active or inactive;
the multiple operating points have different frequencies and supply voltage magnitudes; and
operate the plurality of different components according to the selected operating point.
