1. A wearable ring system for enabling a wearer to control operation of one or more smart devices, comprising:
a rigid-flex printed circuit board with a plurality of rigid printed circuit board regions and one or more flexible printed circuit board regions being disposed between respective adjacent rigid printed circuit board regions;
an inertial measurement circuit being disposed on a first selected rigid printed circuit board region of said printed circuit board and being configured for detecting a rotational motion gesture made by the wearer;
an optical touch circuit being disposed on a second selected rigid printed circuit board region of said printed circuit board and being configured for detecting optical input from the wearer;
a capacitive touch circuit being disposed on a third selected rigid printed circuit board region of said printed circuit board and being configured for detecting a capacitive-based touch input from the wearer;
a main control circuit being disposed on a fourth selected rigid printed circuit board region of said printed circuit board and being configured to receive the detected gesture, optical input and capacitive-based touch input via said printed circuit board and to convert the received gesture, optical input and capacitive-based touch input into control instruction for controlling a predetermined smart device; and
an energy transmitting circuit being disposed on a fifth selected rigid printed circuit board region of said printed circuit board and being configured to receive the control instruction via said printed circuit board and wirelessly transmitting the received control instruction to the predetermined smart device,
wherein the flexible printed circuit board regions are bent such that said printed circuit board forms an annulus that defines an opening for receiving a finger of a hand of the wearer.
