tracking keyboard usage of each of the first set of plural information handling systems with instructions executing on each of the first set of plural information handling systems;
returning at least some of the first set of plural information handling systems to the manufacture location;
disassembling the at least some of the first set of plural information handling systems to separate the keyboard;
comparing keyboard usage of the tracking against a keyboard benchmark to associate each separated keyboard with a keyboard life remaining;
assembling a second set of plural information handling systems from both new keyboards and the separated keyboards, the separated keyboards selected by reference to the comparing to build the second set of plural information handling systems to have selected of plural performance characteristics;
storing the keyboard usage in flash memory integrated in the keyboard; and
reading the keyboard usage from the keyboard after the disassembling.
