1. An image transmissive head-mounted display device in which an external world image is acquired by a first camera, and the external world image is displayed on a display, the head-mounted display device comprising:
a second camera configured to acquire a binocular image of a wearer of the head-mounted display device; and
a processor,
wherein the processor is configured to:
display a first icon to be superimposed on an application image displayed on the display, the first icon is an icon indicating that an image displayed on the display can be switched to the external world image, and
when determining that the wearer is making eye contact with the first icon for a predetermined period of time or longer based on the binocular image of the wearer acquired by the second camera, switch the image displayed on the display to the external world image acquired by the first camera from the application image.
