1. A liner assembly for a combustor, the liner assembly comprising:
a liner defining a combustion chamber of the combustor, the liner including a free wall, a connecting wall, and a curved washer, the free wall having a looped section at an upstream end and a downstream end of the free wall, the curved washer connecting the upstream end of the looped section of the free wall to the connecting wall, and the looped section having one or more bends to define one or more cavities within the looped section, the looped section being provided at a forward end of the liner, the one or more bends are such that the looped section forms a compliant joint and vibrations are dampened through the liner downstream of the looped section, wherein the liner is bent at approximately one hundred eighty degrees at one bend of the one or more bends to form the looped section; and
one or more fastening mechanisms configured to fasten one or more cowls and an annular dome assembly to the liner, the one or more fastening mechanisms being disposed within the one or more cavities, the one or more fastening mechanisms extending through a first fastener hole extending through the curved washer and a second fastener hole extending through the free wall,
wherein the one or more bends of the looped section of the free wall is positioned upstream of the one or more fastening mechanisms and the curved washer and the free wall are joined together by the one or more fastening mechanisms.
