1. A combination comprising an elongate receptacle containing a drag reducing polymer, wherein the receptacle defines an internal volume which contains said polymer, wherein the diameter of the internal volume is at least 5 cm, wherein said internal volume is in the range 10000 cm3 to 150000 cm3 and contains a solid mass of drag reducing polymer, wherein the aspect ratio of the elongate receptacle defined as the length of the internal volume of the receptacle divided by the diameter of the internal volume of the receptacle is at least 20, wherein the solid mass is substantially elongate and has a volume in the range 10000 cm3 to 150000 cm3, wherein said receptacle includes a first end and a second end which are spaced apart along the elongate extent of the receptacle, wherein said first end is a closed end and said second end is not heat sealed to restrict access to the receptacle at said second end, wherein said drag reducing polymer is selected from the group comprising poly(alpha-olefin), polychloroprene, vinyl acetate polymers and copolymers, poly(alkylene oxide)(PAO), and mixtures thereof.
