1. An exit device, comprising:
a latchbolt assembly having an extended position and a retracted position;
a pushbar assembly operably connected with the latchbolt assembly;
a link assembly operatively connected to the pushbar assembly, wherein the link assembly includes a security link comprising an elongated aperture;
a pin extending through the elongated aperture; and
a keeper engaged between the pin and the security link, mounted to the pin and received at least partially in the elongated aperture, the keeper configured to melt at a designated temperature;
wherein the security link is configured to shift along the pin from an initial position to a shifted position in response to melting of the keeper; and
wherein the security link in the shifted position is configured to pivot about the pin to a blocking position in which the security link prevents retraction of the latchbolt assembly.
