1. A method of detecting the presence of a recombinant nucleic acid molecule in a sample comprising plant genomic DNA, the method comprising:
a. contacting said sample with a nucleic acid probe that hybridizes under stringent hybridization conditions with genomic DNA from a plant comprising the recombinant nucleic acid molecule and does not hybridize under such hybridization conditions with genomic DNA from an otherwise isogenic plant that does not comprise the recombinant nucleic acid molecule,
wherein said recombinant nucleic acid molecule comprises a polynucleotide encoding a protein wherein said protein comprises an amino acid sequence having at least 99% sequence identity to the amino acid sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO:4, SEQ ID NO:2, SEQ ID NO:6, SEQ ID NO:8, SEQ ID NO:10, SEQ ID NO:12, SEQ ID NO:14, SEQ ID NO:16, or SEQ ID NO:18;
b. subjecting said sample and said probe to stringent hybridization conditions; and
c. detecting hybridization of said nucleic acid probe with said recombinant nucleic acid molecule in said sample.
