1. An anti-β^Sglobin antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof that binds a human β^Sglobin polypeptide, wherein the anti-β^Sglobin antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof comprises a light chain variable region comprising CDR1 (SEQ ID NO: 1), CDR2 (SEQ ID NO: 2), and CDR3 (SEQ ID NO: 3) and a heavy chain variable region comprising CDR1 (SEQ ID NO: 4), CDR2 (SEQ ID NO: 5), and CDR3 (SEQ ID NO: 6).
