1. A paper container comprising:
a paper sleeve having an inner surface and an outer surface and comprising:
overlapping side edges defining a sidewall seam;
a top portion defining a top opening;
a bottom portion defining a bottom opening; and
a side wall portion extending between the top portion and the bottom portion;
a paper bottom, affixed to the bottom portion and closing the bottom opening, and having an inner surface and an outer surface; and
a multi-layer, aqueous-based, styrene-free, acrylate polymer coating applied to an entirety of the inner surface of at least the paper sleeve, the multi-layer, aqueous-based, styrene-free, acrylate polymer coating comprising:
an aqueous-based, styrene-free, acrylate polymer barrier layer confronting the inner surface of at least the paper sleeve; and
an aqueous-based, styrene-free, acrylate polymer top coat confronting the barrier layer.
