1. An object recognition apparatus comprising:
one or more processors; and
one or more memories communicably coupled to the one or more processors,
the one or more processors being configured to:
set one or more object presence regions in each of which an object is likely to be present, on a basis of observation data of a distance sensor, the distance sensor being configured to receive a reflected wave of an applied electromagnetic wave;
estimate an attribute of the object that is likely to be present in each of the one or more object presence regions;
set a level of processing load to be allocated to object recognition for each of the one or more object presence regions based on the attributes of each object, using at least image data generated by an imaging device; and
perform the object recognition processing on the each of the one or more object presence regions based on the set level of the processing load, using at least image data generated by the imaging device.
