A polyphenolic composition comprising caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid, m-coumaric acid, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, sinapinic acid, epicatechin, protocatechuic acid, catechin, p-coumaric acid, ferulic acid, and vanillic acid, wherein the composition has the following weight ratios between polyphenolic components compared to caffeic acid set equal to 1:
