1. A method for improving glucose management of a subject by adjusting a glucose level target, the method comprising:
receiving a plurality of first glucose levels over a first time period for the subject;
receiving a first glycated hemoglobin (HbA 1c) level for the subject corresponding to an end of the first time period;
receiving a reticulocyte production index (RPI) value for the subject;
calculating a red blood cell elimination constant (kage) based on the RPI value;
calculating at least one physiological parameter selected from the group consisting of: a red blood cell glycation rate constant (kgly), a red blood cell generation rate constant (kgen), and an apparent glycation constant (K), based on (1) the plurality of first glucose levels, (2) the first HbA1c level, and (3) the kage;
adjusting a glucose level target for the subject based on the at least one physiological parameter;
displaying the adjusted glucose level target;
and treating the subject based on a comparison of the adjusted glucose level target to a current glucose level for the subject, wherein the treating the subject comprises administering and/or adjusting: an insulin dosage, a glycation medication dosage, or a combination thereof.
