1. A rod reducer for reducing a spinal rod to a rod-capturing portion of a fixation anchor, the rod reducer comprising:
a coupling unit configured to engage the fixation anchor, wherein the coupling unit comprises:
a base member having a proximal portion, a central portion, a distal portion, and a lumen extending longitudinally through a length of the base member, wherein the distal portion includes a cavity configured to receive the fixation anchor therein, and
a first attachment feature and a second attachment feature, each pivotally coupled to the base member, wherein the first and second attachment features each comprise an elongate member extending between the central portion and the distal portion of the base member; and
a translation unit configured to engage the proximal portion of the base member and translate relative to the coupling unit, wherein the translation unit comprises:
a shaft having an external thread and extending between a proximal end and a distal end,
a drive nut coupled to the proximal end of the shaft,
a foot having a pusher member coupled to the distal end of the shaft and configured to engage the spinal rod, and
a ring with internal threading and engaging with the external threads of the shaft; and
wherein the foot includes a cylindrical body that is coupled to the shaft and fixed longitudinally to the shaft but freely rotatable relative to each other.
