1. A method of operating a medical system comprising an endoscope and an auxiliary medical device, the endoscope including a handle extending along a central axis and a movable mechanism, the auxiliary medical device including a rotatable member, the method comprising:
gripping the handle of the endoscope with one hand and using a first finger of the hand to rotate the rotatable member, thereby causing movement of the auxiliary medical device, wherein rotation of the rotatable member is around the central axis of the handle; and
operating the movable mechanism using the first finger or a second finger of the hand for facilitating movement of a portion of the endoscope;
wherein the auxiliary medical device is removably and directly couplable to the handle of the endoscope by engaging a resiliently deflectable finger of the auxiliary medical device with an engagement feature of the handle.
