1. A method for weed control, comprising:
(a) providing an electrode coupled to a power source via a power provision arrangement; and
(b) delivering an electrostatic shock to a single contact point on a weed plant via said electrode or even when said electrode is at a distance from a leaf or stem of the weed plant while maintaining a constant discharge between the electrode and the leaf or stem;
wherein said electrode delivers a constant discharge between 35 and 45 kV of DC at a low current that is not fatal to humans, adapted to only cause the weed plant to lose turgor pressure by causing cells with water to burst.
