1. A first computing device for supporting dynamic reconfiguration of a document application, comprising:
a memory storing instructions; and
a processor that, when executing the instructions, is configured to execute the document application, configured to:
point to a document server providing document services as a primary document server, wherein the document application is configured to enable a first client of the first computing device to access documents via the primary document server;
point to a document appliance indicated by an electronic invite received by the first computing device from a second computing device; and
enable the first computing device to pass data or information received in the electronic invite to the document application in response to the first client clicking a link or pressing a button associated with the electronic invite,
wherein the document application is further automatically reconfigured to point back to the primary document server once a specific set of document operations on the document has been performed by a secondary document server.
