18. A location aid peripheral comprising:
a housing;
a peripheral processing resource disposed in the housing;
a peripheral primary radio disposed in the housing and interfaced with the peripheral processing resource and operable to transmit information with a first wireless protocol;
a peripheral secondary radio disposed in the housing and interfaced with the peripheral processing resource and operable to receive and transmit a wake command with a second wireless protocol; and
non-transitory memory interfaced with the peripheral processing resource and storing instructions that when executed on the peripheral processing resource:
stores first, second and third radio profiles having time intervals between transmit states and between receive states;
tracks bi-directional radio communications at the peripheral;
sleep the peripheral primary radio;
applies the first radio profile at the peripheral with the peripheral secondary radio if the time to last bi-directional radio communication is less than a first threshold;
applies the second radio profile at the peripheral with the peripheral secondary radio if the time to last bi-directional radio communication is greater than the first threshold and less than a second threshold;
applies the third radio profile at the peripheral with the peripheral secondary radio if the time to the last bi-directional radio communication is greater than the second threshold; and
wake the peripheral primary radio when the peripheral secondary radio receives a transmission in accordance with the first, second or third radio profile.
