1. A plant comprising a transgene encoding a polypeptide sequence having at least 95% identity to the polypeptide sequences set forth in SEQ ID NO: 255 and wherein the transgene confers to the plant one or more of the following improved/increased characteristics: improved drought resistance, increased biomass, increased salinity tolerance, increased yield, wherein said improved/increased characteristic is in comparison to a WT version of the plant or to a GFP expressing version of the plant devoid of the transgene.
