a sensor, wherein the sensor is configured to capture image data of one or more portions of a seatbelt;
one or more processors coupled to the sensor; and
a computer-readable medium comprising instructions stored therein, which when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
receive the image data of the one or more portions of the seatbelt;
determine a length of the seatbelt that is dispensed based on the image data; and
determine if the seatbelt is buckled in front of a passenger's body based on comparing a length of a shoulder belt that is dispensed with a length of a lap belt that is dispensed.
