1. A method of wireless communication, comprising:
transmitting, by a user equipment (UE) to a serving base station, communications using a plurality of transmission time intervals (TTIs); and
receiving, by the UE from the serving base station, transmission indication signals whose lengths conform to a predetermination of a length that is fixed for application to all of the transmission indication signals, so that the lengths of all of the received transmission indication signals are the same as one another due to the predetermination;
wherein:
each of a first transmission indication signal and a second transmission indication signal of the transmission indication signals, respectively, includes for a respective subset of the plurality of TTIs:
a plurality of respective grants, each of the plurality of respective grants being for a respective one of the respective subset of the plurality of TTIs and being either a transmission grant or a retransmission grant; and
a plurality of indicators, each of the plurality of indicators corresponding to a respective one of the respective subset of the plurality of TTIs;
the first transmission indication signal and the second transmission indication signal differ from each other in that:
all of the plurality of indicators for the respective subset of the plurality of TTIs of the first transmission indication signal are of a first type of indicator, the first type of indicator being a transport block (TB)-level new data indicator (NDI) regarding a TB; and at least one of the plurality of indicators for the respective subset of the plurality of TTIs of the second transmission indication signal is of a second type of indicator, the second type of indicator being a code block group (CBG) transmission indication regarding a CBG; and
the first transmission indication signal and the second transmission indication signal differ at least partially due to the predetermination of the fixed length, based on respective selections from the first and second types of indicators that are dependent upon a respective space, from within the fixed length, in the transmission indication signal that is available for use in association with the indicators.
