1. A radiofrequency frontend device comprising:
a transceiver configured to transmit and receive electromagnetic radiation in a Millimeter wave (mmWave) radio frequency (RF) spectrum;
one or more application programming interface (API) interface devices configured to receive API calls from a remote source;
a processor coupled to the one or more API interface devices and the transceiver;
a memory comprising programmed instructions stored in the memory, the processor configured to execute the programmed instructions stored in the memory to:
receive one or more API calls from the one or more API interface devices for monitoring or controlling the transceiver;
execute one or more monitor or control functions for the transceiver based on the received API calls from the remote source, wherein the processor, the memory, and the transceiver are configured to enable monitoring and control from the remote source without a network controller; and
output the received API calls for monitoring or controlling the transceiver to another radiofrequency frontend device to provide a wireless link to monitor or control the another radiofrequency frontend device from the remote source.
