1. An integrated-circuit component, comprising:
an amplifier circuit to produce a first output signal in response to an input signal, wherein the amplifier circuit comprises circuitry to produce, in accordance with a voltage level of the input signal, the first output signal to have a voltage within a voltage range that spans a plurality of continuous voltage sub-ranges;
comparator circuitry to compare the first output signal with one or more reference voltages to identify a first voltage sub-range that encompasses the first output signal, wherein the first voltage sub-range is a single constituent sub-range of the plurality of continuous voltage sub-ranges; and
voltage-adjust circuitry to selectively adjust a voltage level of the first output signal according to the first voltage-subrange to produce a second output signal.
