14. An image sensor comprising:
imaging pixels including a first subpixel configured to sense image light and a second subpixel configured to sense the image light;
a patterned liquid crystal polarization hologram (LCPH) layer having microlens regions disposed over the imaging pixels, wherein the microlens regions are configured to focus the image light to the first subpixel and the second subpixel of the imaging pixels; and
a wavelength filtering layer disposed between a semiconductor layer of the imaging pixels and the patterned LCPH layer.
