1. A method, comprising:
receiving, by a device comprising one or more processors, a content item comprising a first portion and a second portion;
displaying, by the device, the content item in a first state, the first state displaying the first portion in a first display area;
detecting, by the device, a first interaction with the content item in the first display area;
in response to the first interaction, transitioning, by the device, the content item from the first state to a second state, at least in part by performing a sliding action that replaces the first portion with the second portion, wherein the transitioning includes activating the second portion such that, while the first portion and the second portion are simultaneously displayed, the second portion becomes selectable and the first portion becomes non-selectable;
displaying, by the device and after the transitioning, the content item in the second state, the second state displaying the second portion in a second display area that occupies at least a portion of the first display area;
detecting, by the device, a second interaction with the content item in the second display area while the content item is displayed in the second state; and
displaying, by the device and in response to the second interaction, a landing page.
