1. A method, comprising:
identifying first data that is ready for transmission;
identifying second data that is ready for transmission, the first data and the second data being ready for transmission in a first order, the first data associated with a first device and the second data associated with a second device; and
selecting one of the first data or the second data for transmission out of order from the first order, wherein the first data or the second data are selected for transmission out of order from the first order in view of a physical layer (PHY) rate of the first device or the second device.
