1. One or more non-transitory, computer-readable media having instructions that, when executed, cause a user equipment (UE) to:
process configuration information received from a base station (BS), wherein the configuration information includes a first parameter indicating an index of a reference signal (RS) and a second parameter indicating a type of RS to be used for radio link monitoring (RLM);
determine, based on the configuration information, the type of RS indicated by the second parameter in the configuration information to be used for RLM, wherein the type of RS used for RLM comprises a subset of channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) resources configured for beam management (BM) including P1 beam management for initial beam establishment, and wherein an evaluation of the subset of CSI-RS resources reflects a quality of connection between the UE and the BS, and the subset of CSI-RS resources and a hypothetical physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) signal are both configured with a same beamforming configuration; and
perform RLM based on the determined type of RS to be used for RLM.
