1. A rotor for an electric motor for use in a power steering system, the rotor comprising:
a rotor shaft extending in an axial direction;
a number of rotor packets arranged coaxially with one another along the rotor shaft; and
an intermediate ring disposed between two rotor packets of the number of rotor packets arranged adjacent to one another and configured to hold the two rotor packets in a form-fitting manner in an offset orientation relative to one another,
wherein the intermediate ring includes a ring body, wherein the ring body includes a number of fastening projections axially projecting from an inner periphery of the ring body and configured to fasten to the adjacent rotor packets, wherein the ring body defines a central opening, forming the inner periphery, wherein the ring body includes a number of tooth projections each extending radially inward from the ring body, and wherein a fastening projection of the number of fastening projections extends from a tooth projection of the number of tooth projections.
