1. An auxiliary arrangement for providing a DC supply voltage for driving an LED tube lamp in the absence, failure or disconnection of an alternating mains supply voltage for driving the LED tube lamp, said auxiliary arrangement comprising:
an input interface configured to receive, from a DC voltage supply, an input DC voltage generated by the DC voltage supply in the absence, failure or disconnection of the alternating mains supply;
an output interface for connecting to the LED tube lamp and for providing the DC supply voltage to the connected LED tube lamp;
characterized in that the auxiliary arrangement comprises:
a modulation circuit connected between the input interface and the output interface, the modulation circuit being configured to modulate the input DC voltage according to one or more modulation patterns, wherein said one or more modulation patterns are configured to control the DC supply voltage at the output interface to have at least one electrical characteristic the same as the alternating mains supply voltage, to thereby produce the DC supply voltage.
