1. A display driver, comprising:
a memory;
a data driver configured to:
in a first mode, update a display panel based at least in part on a command provided to the display driver asynchronously with a display vertical sync signal;
in a second mode, update the display panel based at least in part on first image data stored in the memory in synchronization with the display vertical sync signal; and
a control circuit configured to:
switch from the first mode to the second mode in response to a first command;
in the second mode, adjust the display vertical sync signal based at least in part on an external vertical sync signal, wherein adjusting the display vertical sync signal comprises adjusting a display horizontal sync signal to synchronize the display vertical sync signal with an emission sync signal, wherein the emission sync signal is generated in synchronization with the external vertical sync signal, wherein adjusting the display vertical sync signal comprises adjusting a periodicity of the display horizontal sync signal.
