1. An electronic device comprising:
one or more processing devices; and
one or more non-transitory, processor-readable storage media comprising instructions which, when executed by the one or more processing devices, cause the one or more processing devices to perform operations comprising:
receiving audio data corresponding to a voice command from a user, wherein the audio data indicates a first target device;
identifying a calculated parameter of the audio data, wherein the calculated parameter identifies a characteristic of the audio data; and
communicating with one or more additional devices in a network comprising the one or more additional devices and the electronic device, wherein:
the communicating comprises transmitting the calculated parameter to the one or more additional devices;
one device from the electronic device and the one or more additional devices is identified as a master device based at least in part on the calculated parameter;
a second target device associated with the master device is identified, wherein the second target device corresponds to the first target device indicated by the audio data; and
the second target device is caused to operate in accordance with the voice command.
