1. An image sensor comprising:
a first color filter array (CFA) covering a first set of photodiodes to enhance low light sensitivity, wherein the first CFA comprises a first set of color filters;
a second CFA covering a second set of photodiodes to enhance color separation, wherein the second CFA comprises a second set of color filters that is different from the first set of color filters;
a substrate layer disposed under the first CFA and the second CFA, wherein the substrate layer contains the first set of photodiodes and the second set of photodiodes;
a wiring layer disposed under the substrate layer; and
one or more processors configured to:
generate, by the first set of photodiodes, a first image based on a first interpolation determining a specific color channel based on a mean of color channel values of a plurality of neighboring color channels in the first image;
generate, by the second set of photodiodes, a second image based on a second interpolation determining color channel values based on edge-aware interpolation; and
generate an output image based on the first image and the second image based on a combination of the second interpolation and the first interpolation.
