1. A method for operating a wind turbine, the wind turbine having a power conversion system configured to provide electrical output power (P) to a grid, and an air-cooling system configured, in a cooling mode, to cool an ambient air and provide the cooled ambient air as a cooling air to the power conversion system, the method comprising:
operating the air-cooling system in the cooling mode when at least one operating parameter of the power conversion system is equal to or greater than a respective threshold value; and
in the cooling mode, the air-cooling system reducing a temperature of the ambient air (Ta) to a cooled temperature (Tc) of the ambient air that is less than (Ta) prior to introducing the cooled ambient air to the power conversion system.
